Well fortunately no news is good news, which is why I haven't posted in a long time. So many people have inquired about what has been happening with Wendy that an update is in order and another request for prayer.
This Friday, May 9th, she is back at Columbia Presbyterian for surgery. The reconstruction was put off until now because she had battled so many infections and needed a good length of time to heal and get stronger. The surgery will take from 12-14 hours and is quite involved. She will be in the hospital for 4-5 days and leaving with four drains. Recovery is lengthy and difficult and will require limited upper body mobility and physical therapy.
Wendy has become a stronger person through all of this and has grown tremendously in her faith. We are all very grateful for all the people that have shown so much support and blessed Wendy and her family in a variety of ways. Truly His hands extended.
